Siemans DA-36 E Star, Diamond aircraft and EADS team up for a fantastic little plane. This plane is demonstrating the power of hybrid electric flight. It has an electric motor, a fuel power assist/generator and a bank of batteries. It is 25-30% more efficient and quieter than a regular plane. The technology will be available to other sizes of plane as well. The larger the vehicle, planes included the more efficient the hybridization process...
